Current sponsors: Kevin Masters (Aerobic Power Training Systems) In preparation for my first Ironman in 2006 I signed up with Kevin Masters at Aerobic Power Training Systems (APTS). Since becoming part of the APTS training group I have been continuously improved my performances, and could fulfill my dream to race at the pro-level. APTS has become like a family to me. I really like the spirit of the group – open-minded and supportive to everybody, no matter how fast you are. The group is really friendly, but focused. The whole APTS-Coaching Team is extremely motivated and supportive. Every coach is an expert in his or her field (e.g. Chris on the bike, Brian in running, Kate and Jason in swimming), which ensures high-quality workouts with lots of feedback from the coaches. Kevin is an enthused, very engaged, and extremely knowledgeable coach, who really cares about his athletes, providing lots of one-on-one feedback. Besides Kevin's excellent coaching skills he is a very talented athlete himself, who has been successful in many sports: triathlon, road biking and running, and adventure races. He truly is an inspiration to me and the whole group.
Thanks to Pause for helping me to reach my goals, by making sure I’m ready to go whenever I need to go! SoLo Energy Bar |

[Oct 25, 2009] Having an A-race Day in Texas Yesterday I raced the Longhorn 70.3 Austin, TX. A weather-wise perfect day (not very hot or humid, a bit of wind) turned out to be great overall. After coming out of the water in 15th spot I managed to bike and run up to 8th place, and with that fulfilled my goal of placing top 10. It was a great experience, still looking at and learning from the big names, and just really enjoying to race with / against them. A more detailed description of the race in my report. |
