4th Canadian-German Triathlon & Cycling Camp in Mallorca (Spain)

Date: April 11 - 25, 2010 

Come and join Aerobic Power Training Systems and Balear Reisen GmbH for our fourth Annual Canadian-German Triathlon and Cycling Camp in Mallorca (Spain). The camp with international flair focuses on cycling, and is the ideal start into a new season for enthused recreational cyclists & triathletes as well as for the more performance-oriented athletes. All the training will be professionally guided by the successful coaches Kate (Swim) and Kevin Masters (Bike, Run, Core), supported by triathlete and organizer Annett Kamenz. Pick one of three bike groups (riding between 70 and 160km) according to your ability or aspirations of the day. Groups are lead by guides taking you on the most scenic rides on the island while ensuring that nobody gets lost. Even though most training hours will be spent in the saddle, there will also be a good number of coached run, swim and core training sessions. The training environment in and around the BlueBay is ideal: we will be swimming in the 25m heated outdoor pool or the Ocean just across the street, and running in the Pine forest surrounding the hotel as well as along the beach promenade. 1-2 presentations per week on training-relevant topics complete our training week(s). Plus there will be guaranteed lots of social gathering in the evenings at the hotel bar. Kate, Kevin, and Annett will be available throughout the camp to answer any questions you might have with regards to training design, season planning, technique etc.

Included in the package price is the following:

  • Stay at the BlueBay Resort
  • Breakfast and Dinner Buffet
  • Shuttle from / to the airport
  • Training sessions

 

If you are interested in renting a bike from the Bike Station at the hotel, you can chose between Aluminum and Carbon-frame. Please make your bike reservation when signing up.

[Oct 25, 2009] Having an A-race Day in Texas

Yesterday I raced the Longhorn 70.3 Austin, TX. A weather-wise perfect day (not very hot or humid, a bit of wind) turned out to be great overall. After coming out of the water in 15th spot I managed to bike and run up to 8th place, and with that fulfilled my goal of placing top 10. It was a great experience, still looking at and learning from the big names, and just really enjoying to race with / against them. A more detailed description of the race in my report.
